So as a person new to the raid ive been looking to find a raid group and I came across a disturbing trend. People with no experience are DEMANDING only to raid with groups that have experience. it goes a little something like this
new to raid have 2 people a titan and a hunter. need 4 people with raid experience and have beaten oryx only. message me.
Seriously? so now people without experience are demanding experienced raiders? no wonder no one will take new people in. if you don't have experience you shouldn't demand that you have a group that has beaten oryx. you are at the bottom of the barrel. take what you can get.

We have a solid group of 4 and then always mix in 2 new people. We know that the 4 of us can carry the weight for some of the new players as we teach them the ropes of the raid.
-
Im glad i met myteam o. Here We all refused to look up strat videos or anything we went in100% blind and figured it out all by ourselves now are ready for oryx tonight. Warpriest was hardest cuz everyone but me was low 90's but i was hitting mad dps cuz i was 297 w black spindel

Edited by The Hate Campaign: 9/28/2015 11:33:46 AMWhen I did the raid for the first time I was very open to playing with anyone because it was new. But after you go over the mechanics MULTIPLE TIMES and people still aren't doing what they're suppose to then I have no choice but to make one of those conceited posts. All of the mechanics in the raid aren't that complicated at all even for your first time. It's also really easy to tell who is messing up because everybody has to be involved.
-
Lol and I bet you they got no word in return. They would have to be pretty stuck up to ask for that when they haven't even done it yet. I'm glad I happen to have a buddy on my friend list that invited me to do it even though I would be going in blind, and with a low light level. (he had already beat it the first week it came out) from how bad everyone's luck has been on their groups I feel very lucky of the one I got into. Stuck together through the whole thing even at the fact it took us 10 hours.
-
In general guys think of it this way, the more we take in and train the more we will have ready to go on lfg and ect.
-
Is it terrible these are my reqs because these always end me up with good people no matter what 295+ and experience must have beaten oryx and are familiar with most if not all raid mechanics
-
Experience=watch some videos on youtube explaining what to do. It's really not that hard
-
Lol, he's new to the raid and asking for people with raid experience? What a chump.
-
I ran it with 4 people who didn't know what they were doing, War-priest 1st try, Golgoroth 2nd or 3rd, The part they struggled on most was death singers haha, Once they all learned the mechanics of all fights it was fairly simple, A few mistakes were made but we got it after 4 hours haha.
-
LFG to carry me through raid. No exp required. Just make sure I have to do nothing.
-
But thinking those who have not done the raid are "bottom of the barrel" is any better? As much as i agree that the demand for exp raiders is ludicrous, your way of thinking isn't too much better. I seriously wish there were more players willing to help those who haven't done the raid yet.

Edited by Lankzz: 9/28/2015 2:29:50 PMAs a experienced player I have beat the raid 5 times this weekend and I now go on the fourms and find new players and I bundle them all together and j guide them through and get them through the raid! I'm always here to help if you want help just hit me a pm and I'll get you in when I can! Only requirement is 285+ light..and must listen to me! Have Fun!
-
I find it ridiculous that people are already asking for experience.

Edited by Cellspot: 9/28/2015 10:26:40 AMYou think fireteams that spent countless hours the past two weeks mastering kings fall encounters want to go thru growing pains again? Just because you haven't put the time in yet doesn't mean others should be required to teach you. There are plenty of lfg posts with people new to the raid as well. What pisses me off is half the groups that say must have experience don't know wtf they are doing.
-
Some requirements are stupid but some are a need. I have a team of 4 so we always need to pick up 2 lfg randoms. We've had all types of people and it's annoying having go explain what to do because it's the first time they do it. We've done it a total of 8 times and we are not a big fan of wipes since we already die enough during jumping parts lol so we like to explain it once and get it done on the first try without having to do it again. If we wipe once because of a random it's fine if it happens again he gets the boot. We are not going to waste time on someone who can't understand a simple mechanic wither it's oryx or deathsingers or the ogre. It may seem like a -blam!- up thing to do but we don't like wasting time on randoms who don't understand or have never done the raid.
-
Beaten it 3 times now. If people would get together like you said, I'm sure it could be done. All you really need is the dps (and a brain), and then you should be good as long as you know what to do.
-
I found a really good clan that the people are respectful, know that some of us have families, lives and jobs and are nice people. They don't require experience, just to have fun. They use PsN group chat like a running message board to join raids and night falls. It's really nice. I will never use LFG again. In fact LFG is one of the worst things, very toxic, people are disrespectful and very elitist with the requirements. Like your going in for a job interview. I have a newsflash for LFG. I have a real job already. I just play this game for fun.
-
ive basically farmed oryx and can say aslong as your team has the dps to stagger oryx everything on top of that is pure profit
-
I've beaten him 4 times and would never join that laughable group
-
It's definitely worth having people that know what to do. You just need a group to give you the chance. Every part of the raid I did (except oryx) only like 1 or 2 people knew what to do. But the group I cleared oryx with we all already tried and failed with other people so we all had an idea what to do. I agree it's ridiculous though, I mean I tried the raid Tuesday for the first time the 5th day of the raid and I couldn't believe the posts demanding you have the emblem. Not to mention the groups I went through for oryx. Why people quit after one fail I'll never understand.
-
I did it with out watching anything
-
Exactly I joined 3 groups last night that claimed to have killed oryx before but no one had emblem or primary but it's their other characters that beat it. Yeah ok. Half way in and chaos then you hear how do you guys do this part cause you might have different strat. Meaning I have no idea what to do but don't want to look like an ass. some people just want to be carried through. I get nobody wants to waste 8 hrs in a raid but if you don't know what to do don't claim to just so you can find a group easier. Look up a youtube video at least. Sorry but from now on I ask for proof of beating the raid. Wasted way too much time already trying to teach people and then you have the ones that refuse to learn the strat then bitch every time they die and they blame the death on someone else. So frustrating.
-
I beat the whole raid for the first time this week. Was fun. Can't wait for hard mode!
-
I've had some good and bad experiences on lfg. But hey they can't all be winners.
