LFG Raid posts have reached a new LOW
So as a person new to the raid ive been looking to find a raid group and I came across a disturbing trend. People with no experience are DEMANDING only to raid with groups that have experience. it goes a little something like this

Seriously? so now people without experience are demanding experienced raiders? no wonder no one will take new people in. if you don't have experience you shouldn't demand that you have a group that has beaten oryx. you are at the bottom of the barrel. take what you can get.

This happened a ton with Trials LFG. Crazy K/D requirements that the poster didn't even come close to meeting, people demanding to be carried, and if you hadn't already gone flawless you were stuck with terrible players.

Edited by H1jAcK: 9/27/2015 9:13:02 PMIn the weeks leading up to TTK, as I LFG'd every VoG and CE I ran, I kept the good raid teams on my friends list (and deleted the bad). I told every one of the good teams I'd be available to do anything to help anyone during launch week. Ended up giving me two solid teams that got through the raid with no issue. I'd highly suggest this any time a new raid is coming, greatly relieves the stress of PUGs.

Translation: me and two buddies need to be carried through raid cuz we're scared and have no skill. Oh well it's their choice to own up to it, hopefully the rest of you won't condone it by joining them

Those "new" Raiders will soil their pamper when they figure out a scrub can't get carried to an Oryx kill. You either can do it or just pretend the raid doesn't exist. Now being able to do it and finding a whole team of randoms who can also is the new forever 29.

3 RepliesLol if you ask for experienced raiders, and I invite you, and you don't know wtf you're doing, I'll kick you for lying. That being said, I try to do a fresh run whenever I can with at least 2 people that haven't beaten it before.

1 ReplyIt's a transitional period. Hardcore players can now finish the raid in a couple hours but a Sherpa run with new players takes significantly longer. Sherpas will be more common in a couple more weeks as those active players gear up. For now, what I do is just post that I'm "going for Golgoroth" or start at a later checkpoint. You'll just have to run it piecemeal for now. Make your own groups and jump into any checkpoints that will take you so you become familiar with the encounters. I haven't killed Oryx myself but am not upset that LFG is being selective. I totally understand.

Was fighting Golgoroth on about out 7th try someone said we couldn't do it and quit, then almost everyone else quit afterwards. Got no good loot. :(

9 RepliesEdited by flashXI: 9/27/2015 8:44:03 PMI was putting a random raid team just to collect my missing fragments...I had the totem cp even tho I wanted fresh...few left after 3 wipes cause they can't do it right...we found two guys and they wanted a total fresh one...everyone agreed to the terms,we went in had a blast on the ship jumps...I showed them the hidden chest,we moved to the totem part...our communication was flawless even tho some didn't do it and we got the door opened in like 5 minutes or so I dunno. After that on warpriest it was kinda hard cause they did those annoying small mistakes,but surprisingly we pulled a clutch at the 4th wipe and killed him at the 4th phase just as he enraged...I was yelled we can do it calm down and shoot!(I was 304 so I did a lot of damage but it was a team effort) everyone was super happy that we pulled a clutch and didn't wipe. Then I continued to get my 46 fragment and help them with hidden chest which was a lot of fun, AT this point I could've left to do my malice but I decided to go help on gol...that part took more wipes but they got it down(we used the 1 orb method) then I helped them get the final fragment and chest and went to do my malice even tho I wanted to go on with them till the end. TLDR: keep searching there are some decent and fun people out there. Edit: sorry this comment is messy I have no idea how to type right on the phone app lol

2 RepliesIt's pretty ridiculous. Didn't do it the first weekend because I wanted to gear myself up more. Now that I'm geared up (and it's only the second weekend since it launched) and no one wants to take me in. I may be new to the raid, but for Christ's sake I can learn and adapt.

Yesterday I made a post looking for some guys to raid with. Said I don't care if your experienced or not. Got a group together in minutes. Our whole collective experience was up to the war priest. Took us a while but we ended up killing the WP on the third time to deal damage. They learned quickly & we put together our strat for it. This shows that randoms can learn quickly.

2 RepliesI'd never done the raid, and managed to get hooked into a team in which 4 out of 6 had never done it, all at around 290. The guys that had done the raid were awesome, really helpful, relaxed and patient. SHOCK - we actually had fun, especially around the ships. Yeah, we wiped a few times, but got as far as golgoroth. War priest was fun but hectic. Once you get the mechanics its fairly straightforward (DPS,DPS,DPS) I had to leave at golgoroth (had to look after kids), but was really grateful to those people for getting me some experience. There are some great guardians out there, so its a shame that some in this community prefer to put barriers up rather than be inclusive. I'd happily run with experienced and inexperienced others again.

2 RepliesWell don't -blam!-ing blame them, if you were in their place and know what happened to them, you wouldn't create this "post" I tried oryx today morning, like 4 hours we couldn't beat him, we always got so close then someone -blam!-ed up. ( me twice tho ). After 4 hours i actually went to those high requirements and joined them, we actually beat Oryx in one wipe only, like just 30 min! That's insane and time saver ffs ( btw i was the runner so don't think they carried me) Instead of crating these posts and waiting for someone to pity you, go watch some videos or learn it by yourself with other newbies. I was newbie but i watched videos and learnt from my mistakes. If you think watching videos are spoilers, then it's your problem too. Good luck.
