I'm sorry Zombies and Flood did what now? Both of those games' standard multiplayer a were extremely successful before and after the launch of those modes. You might want a similar mode but pretending like they are the reason those games were successful and/or were played like crazy is foolish at best. There is no reason to try and knock standard competitive multiplayer game modes just because you like the party games.

    You should look up what made the games popular in the first place. There is nothing wrong with party games they are typically a fun change of pace but they are not the foundation the games were built on nor are/were they some magic pixie dust that kept them alive. Not one time ever did I see infection as the top played game mode in any of the halos it was offered it. The most populated mode was almost universally team slayer.
