Jolly Holiday issues
ok guys,
post here if you're also having issues with the jolly holiday questline.
if we get a post big enough to merit attention then, hey, guess what, it may/may not be addressed.
went on a 9 kill streak, went to around 20%, died once and it reset.
ive seen people complain about it going up to about 40 to 70% and it getting reset.

I am a just under 1.0 pvp player. But with this I have been extra careful and have been 1.5 to my last round wit 3.17 and not one damn percent filled.... This BS. I hate pvp for this reason. I didn't even get thorn till I got it for the 2.0 upgrade. Crap I tell you,crap.

I've killed people in Crucible with it equipped and there is NO PROGRESS. What the f uck Bungie??

Switched to my scout and then when my super was charged I switched back to the last word but when I got kills with my super the percentage did not go up while having the last word equipped. Why?

3 RepliesBased on my experience, this Quest registers deaths consistently but fails to register kills consistently, even in instances where the LW was equipped or used directly for the kill. I've spent hours on the Quest and am extremely frustrated and the free time I have to enjoy Destiny is becoming an additional stress-added activity. As a customer, all I can say is Bungie is consistent at being inconsistent. Difficult to manage expectations with this approach... Of course, the quest may be working exactly as Bungie intended, and we are simply ignorant to the Quests' actual parameters. Why else would they provide an ambiguous Quest explanation and offer no express or informal guidance? Seems to me this is consistent with their approach of consistently being inconsistent... Either way, Bungie should either: a) fix the quest so it gives credit for progress every time it is earned, or b) communicate the actual quest parameters so there is no uncertainty on what constitutes progress toward achieving the quest. Basically, do anything to better manage our expectations, even if you are unable to provide a definitive solution.

I git flamed to hell for posting about how crappy thus quest is....and the sad part is everyone just bitched me and told me how bad i was, meanwhile i have the chaoerone.... Soooo yeah, i finished it and still think its crap. I actually experimented to try to figure out how you earn points. If you look at orogress in the phone app you see that its out of 1500 pts. I was able to determine a death is -20, a kill with a weapon is worth +10. The first kill with a super (if you havent started a streak already) is worth 1 pt... lol.. the real thing is streaks. Your pts start growing exponentially somehow. The bad side is it seems death streaks multiply your negative pts.

I worked so freaking hard to do this quest line, and after suffering for so long I learn that I get to wait another week because the reset at the end is the Tuesday one instead of the Wednesday one. Wtf is the point of that? Just to make a quest that took me 2 weeks take 3? I'm so sick of this ridiculous wait time added onto every single exotic quest. Serves no purpose other than hindering progress that I've worked hard for

I didn't have any problems completing the quest. It was a frustrating pain in the ass to be sure but everything seemed to be working. lol

This is going to be my strategy... Equip gay last word. Start mayhem clash playlist. Hide in back spawn and only pop out to fire golden gun rounds at rushers. Repeat until finished.

i made an video with some easy tips on how to get better with the last word after patch 2.0 think of it more like a shotgun then a scoutrifle! leave a like if it helped you out!

I found it was pretty easy once I dried my tears and gave it another go.

I did this bounty, and it was difficult (to say the least) but it do-able. Especially if I can do it. BTW if you're getting this shotgun for PVP it isn't going to wreck anything in PVP unless you're getting consistent head shots, it takes two body shots to kill a guardian with full health and if they have a shotgun you can forget about it because by the time the second round is ready to be fired they've already killed you with one round. Even with all that said I don't believe the bounty should be nerfed.

I see people do this using other weapons but when I do it the percentage won't go up, and if it's last word only drop the max for kills.

3 RepliesEdited by SephirXprime: 9/25/2015 1:33:13 AMyeah man the quest is -blam!-ed up after this damn update from bungie... 2 days ago : in just 5 games (with lots of kills) i've managed to rank up to 66%. today, after the update, i made 22 kills (18 with last word, for 10 deaths). went from 66 to 69 % !!! wait what ? 18 kills for 3 % ???!! no man this quest is so -blam!-ed up it's just a shame ! And AS USUAL with bungie they only tell us 10% of what they REALLY patched in their so called updates.. this quest for example did not appear on the patch log... that and the fact they decided to take away nearly all my upgrade materials !!!! nice ! thanks !!!
