So lets compare this to the only other title I play... Madden.
59.99 2014
59.99 2015
$119.98 For the same game just updated.
Or every other yearly title out there.
This is not a defend Bungie post... but it is a reality check that getting updates in titles cost money to make and costs money to play. Business.
I think it a crappy deal that those that didn't buy it now have a broken copy, the downfall of a online 365 title. Maybe the reason others shy away is because of the headaches that are attached to it.

That's why EA had to pay a settlement to customers who bought their sports games over the years. It was a class action. The argument was that they never really updated their titles. They just gave them a different skin and called it a new game.

Edited by MatrixasISeeFit: 9/24/2015 11:32:48 PMDoes EA restrict you from playing 2014 when 2015 comes out? Because Bungie does...

Edited by adamk47: 9/24/2015 4:57:23 PMI cant believe im gonna say this, but Madden and EA do a better job than Bungie has with Destiny. At least i can throw in my copy of madden 13 (or whatever) and it plays the same as ever. Hell, if i dig enough i may even find up to date fan made rosters. With Destiny however, if i go try and play my original game, suddenly its been gutted... You know you are doing something wrong when Madden can be compared favorably to your game

God I never understood why my friends always did that. NHL 2003,2004,2005, all the way to 2015, and soon to be 2016. Literally the only thing that ever changes is the addition of a few new rookies, and any trades that happen that get reflected in the new game. Very rarely do they add new in game features. I remember I played 2003 until they came out with the board play in 2009 (I think), and I still play that from time to time. It's not even just for NHL though, Madden, FIFA.. I just don't understand it.
