If you can't afford TTK then you probably have more important things to do anyway. $40 dollars is not a lot of money, and the new content has basically added on a new videogame.

It kinda does make it irrelevant when they can't do anything else beside run the story missions and 2 raids and poe

NF, Strike playlists, IB etc are endgame features. TTK is the new endgame. I don't understand why you wouldn't update anyway if you plan on continuing to play? What's the point if you're not trying to keep going?
