You can still do absolutely everything that you always could [i]except[/i] heroics and the nightfall. Which makes sense since it's [i]endgame[/i] content. That means that it needs to keep up with current endgame, which includes TTK.
Even though it costs more than the other two, I honestly think this DLC is far more worth the money.
If you can't afford it right now just save up for a bit. It doesn't talking to save up $40. Go mow some lawns if it's still warm enough where you are, you'll have money in a week or less.

BUT THEY CANT TRANFORM EVERY CONTENT PIECE INTO A DLC!!! Try creating a new account on psn or whatever you are on, play the vanilla game... I know some IOS games that have more content than vanilla destiny, the game should have been AT LEAST what it is with ttk, dlc should be additionnal content, not parts of a game, buy the skyrim´s DLCs, you can still play normaĺly, but have more things to do. On destiny thats not something you can do, no one wants to play the same mission over and over again just for the sake of it, you want loot, the way to get loot is to do end game activities of course. And those are worth 80 dollars. To play the complete game , FOR NOW, you need to pay 150$, for a game... Thats not acceptable to me

Btw, I played since day one too. Yes they need to make money but they had there money when we bought the game, they dont need an extra 80$ for what they gave us.

I've been here since day one and so know how little content Destiny initially had more than many. But what [i]should[/i] have been and what [i]is[/i] ate two totally different things. Vanilla Destiny [i]should[/i] have included up to TTK. But it didn't. Just because it should have included it didn't mean that they have to give it out for free. There's no money that way. Companies need money to operate.

I disagree, there is nothing to stop the original nightfall strikes being instanced at the lower level, seemingly the only thing actually stopping that happening is BungieVision's greed.

Yes there is something stopping the nightfall from being instances at lower levels. It's called economics... Servers and the resources to use servers aren't free and the people who paid should have their services sacrificed for those that didn't Can't pay 40 but have the time to complain? Go play in traffic.
