So you have a PS4, a phone or computer to be able to post on here, an internet bill, and a psn membership yet you can't afford a 40 dollar expansion. But you keep saying nobody knows your situation. Ok enlighten us, because it seems like the only situation you have is not knowing how to manage money. I don't pity anybody that's broke. Everybody has the same opportunities in life, some go get them and some wait for somebody to throw them a bone that they will never get.

  • I actually have an Xbox....... Plus if I buy TTK, my whole memory storage will be full and I have to buy a new one so it will cost 100 dollars. So THE TAKEN KING pretty much costs me 140.

The first half of your post is spot on. On second half not so much. Not everybody has the same opportunities in life. You think the foster kid who bounced around in homes all his life is starting adult life with the same advantages of a upper middle class kid from a stable home? Don't think so. They can both strive to be the same thing but they in no way have the same opportunity.

  • Dont bother, he's probably some rich spoiled white kid from the suburbs who's parents bought him everything and has never seen struggle. I dont think a kid who grew up surrounded by death, guns and drugs with no parental guidance has the same opportunities as everyone else.

  • I think you meant that toward me. The truth is I didn't have the greatest childhood. I grew up in a broken down home where the bills were barely paid. My parents divorced when I was 8 because my dad beat me and my mom everyday. So no I didn't have it easy. But I learned from a very young age that I didn't want to live that way. So I worked hard in school and did homework when my mom wasn't there to help because she had to work multiple jobs. I hated my dad so much that I did everything in my power to be totally opposite of him. And now that's what I am, a better person, husband, and father. And I love Destiny lol.

  • You must be extremely young then. Travel the world, get out of your city at least, take a good look around you and if you can come back and tell me that EVERYONE in life is blessed with the same opportunities, that everything in life is equal and fair and there's no such thing as favortism and everyone wins if they simply work hard enough then you'd be the greatest liar known to man.

Yet middle class children fail just as much later in life while there are many stories of foster children as well as children from broken homes succeeding. I'm not saying everybody has the easiest road, but the same opportunities are there. People should quit making excuses about their past, it just holds them back.

  • Of course, I'm a ruthless thinker when it comes to this. Take a homeless person for instance. I don't feel sorry for them when I see them. Because the way I look at it, if they really wanted to they could find a job. I guarantee you that if they picked ten places to work and told the managers they they just needed a job to get back their life, at least one would employee them. But they choose not to because they are letting their past control them. Train your mind to be strong and you will succeed. Regardless, you are not wrong and your point is well taken friend.

  • Some of those homeless people you see are mentally ill and it's a lot more complicated for them than 'just snap out of it'. Stop being ignorant and have some compassion.

  • So now I'm ignorant for stating a logical opinion. I know firsthand about mental illness. My wife deals with anxiety and it's something she can't control. Yet she still works and raises a family. It can be done. I understand that there are mentally ill people, and I really do hope they find comfort in life but they at least have to try.
