Bungie is TAKING our money away.
This is so stupid. I paid 100 dollars on destiny. Now I can't play that anymore since I don't have TTK? Really? What the -blam!-. I can't even afford TTK right now. This is bullshit. I can't play destiny the game that so much memories came from and now I can't play it anymore. Is this even legal? Like now CMON. Now I regret buying destiny........

1 ReplyVideo games are a luxury, a very unnecessary luxury. This one costs 30 cents a day if you started on day one. If you are not in a position to earn or save an extra 30 cents a day, video games should not be on your priority list. If you're a kid and your parents won't give you the money, relax, you will be able to enjoy video games when you are an adult, and by then they will be so much better than they are today because the game will plug right into your brain, etc..

I bought Legendary for $40 cause i traded in my base copy to GameStop for $20 off (hell of a deal since I only bought HoW). But I understand your frustration. If you already have both previous DLC, you have the full base game. Yes it sucks that Activision forced Bungie to split up those content into separate parts, but if you have em, you have the full "original" game. Lets not forget that they wanted this to be a subscription based game. Plus what did you think was gonna happen? The gaming industry will never get rid of "lets lock content behind paywalls." It's waaaaaaay too profitable to pass up business wise. TTK was (and we all know this) supposed to be the first DLC. You get sooooooo much new content added that it's ridiculous (coming from a filthy casual like me). Things will always become obsolete in MMO's. Welcome to the life and why I don't PC game anymore. The stuff Bungie is doing is waaaaaaay less shady compared to the "free to play MMO adventure" shit that I payed through. I payed for content, and I got content when it came to Destiny. "It is soooo easy to get loot in this game!!" GOOD!!! That means no one is left out! No one is more powerful than the other guy. 6 RepliesOP I get your frustration. I think it was incredibly shady what Bungie/Activision reduced the year 1 game down too when TTK released. Only offering a lvl20 strike playlist and not letting you openly choose which PvP game mode you want play was a filthy tactic IMO. They are essentially forcing.insisting you buy TTK in order to really enjoy Destiny anymore. I think most of the anger stems from the restrictions to non-dlc players in year 1 and the changes to this in year 2, in year 1 only owning base game still did not restrict from nightfalls, heroics, or IB. You could still hit max level (although slower) and do strikes/story missions when they were on vanilla. Year 2 obviously this is no longer possible, which why there is anger. HOWEVER........ Bungie have redeemed themselves massively with TTK, so far its been a great expansion and they honestly have executed it well, trust me it was actually worth the £40 ($62) and I've barely scratched the surface of it. Judging by the amount of playtime you have OP, hell you have played this game more than me so you must enjoy this game, I would bet money you would love TTK. But without TTK, Destiny is a dead game for you there is very little point in playing it until you get TTK. Wait a little longer if you are not convinced, watch some videos, read review, etc then choose where your money goes.

3 RepliesYou've got two options here. Either buy TTK or don't. Because right now everyone who is in your situation seems to think they're allowed to have TTK content without purchasing TTK. Dozens of changes were made to the things that you're locked out of upon TTK's release, hence why you can't play them. So now, go and buy TTK or don't, what you decide to do is entirely in your control.

3 RepliesWhy can't you play it? it should work just fine. All the missions, patrols, strikes, Crucible maps and public events that you had access to last month should still be there. All your equipment should still be there. Do you mean that you can't do any of the new content? The stuff in TTK, the game that you can't currently afford? Why does that surprise you? What made you think new content (including an increased level cap) would be available to you without buying the new expansion? Yes, this is legal. Bungie hasn't done anything remotely illegal here. They haven't taken any content from you (although you no longer qualify for some activities). In fact, over the last year they've given you quite a bit of new content for free.

8 RepliesYou can still do absolutely everything that you always could [i]except[/i] heroics and the nightfall. Which makes sense since it's [i]endgame[/i] content. That means that it needs to keep up with current endgame, which includes TTK. Even though it costs more than the other two, I honestly think this DLC is far more worth the money. If you can't afford it right now just save up for a bit. It doesn't talking to save up $40. Go mow some lawns if it's still warm enough where you are, you'll have money in a week or less.

1 ReplyDon't listen to them man, I paid for call of duty: black ops 2 in 2011 and I'm still playing it to this very day, even though they kept releasing a new game every year. Same with FIFA, I bought FIFA 09 and keep playing it because I'm entitled to, I'm not having my money taken away from me because a company makes a new game.
