Complete disregard for players who cannot afford the DLC
I bought a game. Destiny. That game came with the features that I payed for, that were advertised for that game. You have taken away the majority of these features for year one players who cannot afford to, or do not want to fork out the money to pay for all of the DLC, especially The Taken King, which seems to be changing destiny into a new game; NOT THE ONE THAT YOU ADVERSTISED.
Maybe check the legality of this all. I'm almost certain that advertising something and then not providing that service is illegal. Removal of heroic strikes for anybody who does not have the DLC is the perfect example of this. As well as any form of challenging strike playlist, ways to get marks in order to do anything in your game and unlock things in the first place.
Your complete lack of regard for this part of the community is atrocious. Not that I think you will do anything about it.
It's all perfectly legal. If you read the EULA it basically states that buying Destiny gives you the ability to log on to their servers and play the game; however much of it they deem is available based on your current Destiny version. You never owned any of the content, so it's not in anyway illegal to take it away? Is it immoral? That's a totally different story, and I can see why players are upset about it. I guarantee you that a multi billion dollar corporation like Activision has a team of Harvard educated lawyers to analyze pretty much everything they do and then protect/warn them from anything they may want to do that would cause legal exposure.
