If they made the blast almost instantaneous then I would like the gun. I've used it a lot in strikes and it's not very useful. First you have to wait because it's a fusion rifle. Then you have to wait to see if the blast kills. Otherwise you end up wasting ammo shots when you don't have very much ammo capacity to start with. Also with hobgoblins, you have to shoot them with a primary first... Otherwise their shields go up and the blast is wasted. At least with Halo's Needler, you knew when to stop pulling the trigger. Now that was an awesome gun! ( yes I have the gun and I've used it a lot.)
