Trapped in "Trial Mode"

So, I have a bit of a weird situation... I tried and downloaded the Destiny demo on my PS4 a while back and played a few missions to see what the game was all about since the "Trial Mode" (I believe) lets you raise a character to level 7. I then decided to hold off on a full purchase of the game until the arrival of The Taken King. HOWEVER... After purchasing the Taken King - Legendary Edition digital bundle from the PlayStation Store (and waiting for about 12 hours for the game and update patches to install), I noticed that the "Trial Mode" banner was still present when I went to select missions from my jumpship. The game doesn't register in my trophy list because it still thinks I'm playing the demo, even though I purchased the bundle from the digital store. I tried the advice listed on the Help page dedicated to Re-Installing Destiny in cases where "where re-installing is the best way to have a clean slate and remove any issues", including "Getting stuck in Trial mode if you have not deleted the Trial mode before purchasing the full game". I deleted Destiny from my console and re-downloaded it again (from the store, because the download link in my Library wouldn't work), but nothing changed, and I'm right back to where I started: a playable, probably-complete game that doesn't quite remember whether I purchased it or not (I did). Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a way for me to remove my "Trial Mode" banner without deleting and downloading the whole thing again?
