Sorry I never heard anyone say that, Doom was better than Marathon imho but I liked it. Halo is awesome, I understand what you are saying but every Halo had been innovative.

Oh yeah I'm not saying they're not, they certainly add a lot of new things story wise. I still don't understand why people love Doom so much... Nostalgia I guess...

People like Doom so much as without Wolfenstein and Doom arguably their would be no FPS genre, besides it's an awesome game and so is its sequels.
