As others have pointed out, you are incorrect. Games used to be sold as is, but that is no longer the case, whether we as gamers want to admit it. Games are now services, provided by the studios and publishers. Gamers can resist this, but in order to protest, you have to give up gaming. Something I'm not ready to do.
