Why would saying "But Destiny isn't subscription-based" suddenly make it so, despite all evidence to the contrary? Obviously, you paid for a basic year-long subscription, you paid for smaller packages of more content, and now you're paying to keep playing for another year. Sure, you could still play old story missions and nonsense from Year 1, and that is where the analogy to Netflix breaks, but who would do that anyway?
