I Stopped Paying for Netflix and Now I Can't Watch Movies, RIPOFF!

So I've paid for Netflix for an entire year! I've invested so much time into Orange is the New Black and House of Cards, I even grinded every episode of Friends last month! Now, I log in today and all of it is gone! I can't even watch movies that I have been able to watch for a full year! I don't get it. I've been a loyal customer for a year, and just because I stopped paying, I get locked out of content. Well I wont be giving them my business anymore, scammers.
Do you get it now?
EDIT 1: I seem to be getting a lot of similar replies, usually directed at claiming Destiny is not a "subscription" service and that we the players "own" the game. I'm sorry boys and girls, we do not own anything. We paid for a liscence to access Destiny's content; content which is subject to change or even be removed for those who don't update their liscence. This was all outlined in the EULA you blindly accepted a year ago. EDIT 2: "LIMITED USE LICENSE: Bungie grants you the non-exclusive, personal, non-transferable, limited right and license to install and use one copy of this Program solely for your non-commercial use. All rights not specifically granted are reserved by Bungie. The Program is licensed, not sold, for your use. Your license confers no title or ownership in this Program, and should not be construed as a sale of any rights in this Program." EDIT 3: Jesus this is still going, this is fantastic. It looks like the verdict is roughly about 50/50 on people agreeing with me, or calling me some derivative of the word retard. To each their own I guess. I'd hope you guys get this worked up when Norton Antivirus tries to charge you for updates, and then removes features when you don't pay. Because, you know, you bought a disk, so you're clearly entitled.

  • People expect the licence agreement says that to cover themselves for modifications and bug fixes etc. they didnt expect it to translate into " we will take your money, then nerf the game and make you buy the same content again at a raised price. "

  • I agree with you there, I also feel like people missed the hints that they were basically treating it as if it was a whole new game.

    • DLC isn't subscription...now matter how much the OP wants it to be so he can justify the idiocy of his analogy...

    • Is TTK any good? Yes it is but the fact that it renders year one Destiny plus the two DLC's worthless is quite simple wrong. TTK should have been a standalone release.

    • Subscription based service vs Pay once (counting dlc as one time purchases) isn't a good argument but the point is still valid. Year 1 players that are waiting to go to year 2 should have their own separate play list with just year 1 activities minus the Heroic strike since that doesn't exist anymore. But non ttk players should have zero access to new weapons and armor.

    • This is the very reason for ToA's, disclaimers, and LuL's regardless of how harsh they may appear once reviewed...if any member of the community kicks up a stink, you'll simply be directed to these documents to read and what all of use ultimately signed up to...I'm imagining 99.9% of all Destiny Guardians didn't even read the ToAs before selecting "accept"...pretty much the same every time we have to complete a console system update....I know I never did! The issue everyone has is how morally wrong it "feels" to those who still have not purchased TTK...and for some that have. As an individual logging on without TTK expansion i must admit it did sting a bit to have less to do and to view my friends list to see all of them playing TTK...it's a hard fact but business and morality rarely go hand in hand...and ultimately it's the business's choice to change their stance on these matters...if Bungie was to re implement the vanilla PvE and PVP content later down the line...they'll be cheered for having morals and a conscience to those less fortunate, but until that time....please refer to the ToAs and LUL's. I get both sides of the argument...and will be purchasing the TTK simply because as an individual i think it's worth it...and ultimately my choice!.

      • You sound like a corporate c0ck sucker. The logic behind it is not the problem. People are angry because it's not "right" I bought the Taken KING and love it BUT if I didn't, I can fully appreaciate the feeling of getting kicked in the nuts by Bungie. You however, decide to bounce on Bungies ball sack. Well done.

        • You know your comparison to a subscription based program is as it seems right destiny seems to be a yearly to tri-monthly subscription based game with a little leeway and I know this is the internet so what I say will be taken all to literally so think of it like this sometimes 10 steps forward takes 2 steps backwards op is right this is bungies game they can and should make their game they way they want to make it quoting the user agreement was smart but this game is evolving more and more to a mmo and I realize that say destiny is a mmo scares people but it's a good thing if destiny was fully subscription based it would be great better servers more content and just another step console games take to be more like of gaming

          • "Destiny" is sold the same as any other AAA game, and not as a subscription service.

          • however, if you bought a year-long monthly magazine subscription, the magazines get sent to your home. do you send the magazines back, or do the subscribers take it back for you? no. your analogy may not be the best, sir.
