You have not had any content taken away from you so please stop saying that you have.

Before we start let me say first off I am no "Desticle" I have not bought TTK and I have no intention to do so until I see review scores and impressions that make me feel its worth my $40 purchase. So I am missing out on the new content just like you guys are. I don't drink the Kool Aid. I think that $40 for a DLC is a joke even if it is an "Expansion". I personally believe I am one of the most outspoken critics on the forums regarding TTK and its various scandals. Then why am I bothering to post this you ask? Because I believe in fairness and the ranting and raving I am seeing in thread after thread is not fair towards Bungie. It is a HUGE overreaction and the bombastic claims of being robbed of content and being scammed is just downright idiotic. You have not had any missions, strikes, raids, or weapons taken away from you that you have purchased. You can still play all the TDB missions/strikes, HoW missions/strikes and you can certainly still play the vanilla missions/strikes. The same goes for the crucible. You still have every right to play the maps that you have already paid for in the classic playlists in the crucible. The only thing you have been locked out of is new endgame content like Nightfalls, Weeklies, Raid etc etc. That is not content that you bought that is a FEATURE of the game. A feature that centers around the latest content. When you bought TDB you bought the strikes, missions, gear etc etc and the Nightfall then took that content and featured it every week. Now that TTK is the latest content the Nightfall now features THAT content. So no you don't get to do the Nightfall because the Nightfall features new content. Content that you have not paid for. So please stop acting as if Bungie came into your game and pulled all of the missions and gear from your bleeding fingers and pissed on your Ghost. This is how expansion based games have operated for YEARS now. The new expansion comes out with new gear, new missions, and a new level cap. That new content is then featured front and center in every way and the old content is pushed off to the side. WoW, Diablo, SWTOR etc etc have followed this design for years. This is not new and this not shocking. They did it for TDB and they did it for HoW, but they did it on a smaller scale because they were smaller packages. TTK is essentially Destiny 1 part 2. So of course its impact on the day to day functionality of the game is gonna be MUCH more noticeable and much more profound. You paid for content. You got that content. You still have that content. You can still play that content. Features such as the endgame activities however will always be geared toward the latest content and if you don't have that content then you obviouslly cannot participate in the features that use that new content. The same goes for the levelcap as well. You paid for the level-cap to be increased in each of the new DLC's that came out because they were TIED to that content and you need that gear in order to REACH that new cap. They have now raised it again and have tied that cap to the new gear. Gear you don't have access to because you have not paid for it yet. So of COURSE the Vendors are going to be selling the latest and greatest gear. Do you honestly think that they should still be selling old level Vanilla gear like Shadow Price or The Devil You Know even though its been outclassed ages ago? I understand that you are upset that your options are limited now because the content you bought is no longer featured, but don't sit their and claim that it is no longer there or that you no longer have access to it. Because it is and you do.

To those who r tired of others complaining - Y r u here complaining yourself instead of playing TTK? I'm here cuz I cant play a game I sank a Benjamin into. You are not the ones who got slighted. You don't like it don't read it. @Coyote X Starrk You say not featured. I say if I can't play it - it's not there. Where will I get my strange coins for Xur? Or will Xur not have anything for me now anyway - just like all of the vendors? Y do u give such a crap that other ppl feel ripped off? It is their right! Who the hell are you to say their feelings aren't valid & they're wrong? You obviously don't know what it's like to grind on a game for a year to get the best things and level all your gear for nothing. Why have you made it your crusade to spend all day on this forum telling ppl not to talk to a company that says they're listening? (So long as u commit to giving them money on a regular basis) I'm experiencing it myself right now. I've been on Destiny & LFG for over an hour unable to get ppl to play with. I can't solo or get matchmaking on anything that's worthwhile to play. My choices are run old low lvl story missions. Play 20 vanguard. Choose from only a couple crucible modes. Or do 28 arenas. Every week for me & my friends Destiny revolved mostly around running NF, heroic, raids, & trials. Now I can't or it's pointless. The other games you speak of that operate like this - that's y i don't play them. That's y i quit Destiny. Other games that add content don't take some away should you not fork it over. It's not OK. It's not too much to to ask with all this tech that there still be endgame content for you at the level of the last DLC you purchased. If ppl don't rant about it and take a stand, every game that comes out will be more DLC than original disc content and will have a subscription cost with it. Not all gamers are kids spending their allowances. Alot of us get to buy 1 or 2 games a year if we're lucky. Alot of that time we're trading in old games to get that new one. Destiny should feel honored we chose their game & not decide we're worthless if we're not providing residual income. Since we can''t trade in DLC we tend to buy less of it too. I bought the first 2 DLC packs & still felt it was unfair to eliminate activities like NF for others. Just cuz that's what they did with the last 2 packs I got doesn't make it OK. It is a forced subscription model with no ability to recoup losses as with a physical disc. It is also a slap in the face for Beta & Day 1 players who would be $140 deep for $60 to get everything as a late-comer. $80 difference for 1 yr? Where I come from $60 buys u a game for life. @ Kweh - U forgot: I can't buy anything from vendors I lost all my marks I can't find anyone for old raids or arena I lost all my friends I can't do armsday after last week I do not want to play lvl 6 story missions or 28 arena (the only thing that will matchmake) I have spent the past hour trying just to find ppl to play with on LFG, to no avail. Any old game I have with DLC & online modes is still playable. BF3 even after 4 & hardline came out. Forza 4 even after 5, 6, Horizon 1& Horizon 2. None of my other games ever got smaller when a new pack or pass came out. So a constant stream of money for servers is no excuse. You should have diff level activities and matchmaking for those. Why can't there be 2 diff lvl nitefall & heroics? Cuz Bungie doesn't care about me anymore. I like so many things about Destiny, but I am an adult with limited income to spend on myself. I should not have to commit to a 10 yr income stream for you or risk having my game be unplayable. Loyalty should matter. I understand not getting new stuff, but the old stuff should remain. With less activities to do, nothing worthwhile to earn, and nobody to play with; there's no reason to play. Bungie - I hope you keep stats on how many guardians desert; not just how many copies you sell. $100 spent and I'll be lucky to get $10 of it back. Didn't know that money was for a limited time subscription. I been around since the 1st Halo on original XBox. Had 2, 3, 4, ODST, & Reach. Bought DLC maps on 3 & 4. Played Destiny Beta, was Day 1, & bought expansions 1 & 2. You just lost a lifelong customer. What about those who do have the funds to spend, but make a choice not to? Those who have never spent that kind of money on a single game. This logic says it's ok to make it so they can't play half of what they spent that original $100 on if they don't feel like regularly spending more money on it. $110 for a $60 game then another $50 for a season pass is already pushing it for alot of ppl's budgets. The DLC prices never go down with time like the used disc prices. So you can't even wait til it's more affordable should you not have the immediate money. You also can't recoup any money when you are done. They get to keep it all for selling you something you can only fully access until they come out with something else to sell you. It's like a child refusing to play with you unless you keep giving him all your toys. Don't be that guy. That guy's a D*K Sorry for length. This Is a consolidation of other posts, threads, & conversations. I am only this vocal cuz here is a game that is at the top of its field in many ways. I have invested more time & money into it than most other games. With all the money and tech involved y can't they also break the mold in terms of expansions? Just cuz evry other MMO left ppl in the dust should they not pay more to play doesn't make it right.
