People who did not have the previous 2 DLC's could still play the nightfalls and weekly's provided that a DLC strike or mission wasn't in the rotation for that week. Why the change? Because greed.

  • Because new leveling system. In order to be able to complete the new nightfall content you have to have a light level of over 200. A light level that cannot be reached unless you have advanced gear. Gear that cannot be held if you are not 40 You cannot reach 40 without TTK

And don't give me the bullshit excuse that:
The new leveling system could not have worked with the old playlists so they overhauled the whole playlist system.
They could have done it. It isn't exactly hard if you have a competent dev team that isn't lazy as -blam!-.

But why would they devote the extra time and resources doing that for people who are no longer supporting the game? It doesn't matter if it's not hard, it matters that there is no incentive for them to do it.

  • If people spent money on the destiny franchise, they supported the game. That's like saying dev teams don't have to patch glitches if the gamers don't send them money in the mail.

  • Supported, past tense. Supporting, present tense. And no, it's not like that, because glitches are fixed in Destiny for everyone.

  • Agreed, and sad thing is, many of us spent more money than the "Collector Edition" or w/e the new $80 for all players paid. We paid $60 + 20 + 15 already, if anything we should have EVEN MORE, than those who bought the Collector Edition.
