Caterpillar and XBL Disconnections

I Recently got a new better router then my old one and now I literally can even play the game anymore. I play on 360 and I get Caterpillar every single time I try to do any thing even sometimes before signing in . I don't have this problem playing any other game and Ive tried every fix that i could find that I'm able to do like I cant use a Ethernet cord as my router is in a fixed location and far away from a TV and such. I'd Really like to try out more the 5 minutes of the new update before ttk and also possibly even buy ttk when i can play the game again but it looks like this wont happen anytime soon

Hi Tru7h! I've got a very long winded set of instructions for you, so bear with me. Error Code Caterpillar is a Network Error indicating that you are unable to maintain a reliable connection to Destiny. Here are a few things to consider: Are you playing on a shared Network?
It is possible that network congestion is causing issues with your gaming experience. To mitigate this, simply ensure that a minimal number of devices are connected to you modem while you are playing Destiny. Disconnect as many devices as possible, and power cycle your network devices(modem, router, etc). This will clear your modem cache, and help alleviate any stress that your network may be experiencing. To power cycle your network devices, simply perform the following steps: 1. Completely power down these devices until they are turned off(not in a sleep or hibernated state). 2. Unplug these devices from their power source. 3. Wait ~5 minutes. 4. Plug back in sequential order. 5. Power everything on and try again. Note that performing these same steps on your console may also be helpful.
What is your NAT Type?
On PlayStation consoles NAT Type 1 is preferable and 2 is tolerable. 3 is a "Strict" NAT Type and will result in connectivity issues. On Xbox, your setting will either be Open(preferable) or Closed(bad). You can view your console's status in the Network Test results screen to find out what your current NAT Type is. Changing your NAT Type will better facilitate a more reliable connection to other players, and help mitigate Error Codes such as Caterpillar. If you are not particularly handy with managing your Network Settings, contact your Internet Service Provider. They can walk you through this process and ensure that you don't change anything that you shouldn't. Note: NAT Type can change very suddenly with the adoption of new network hardware. Additionally, it may change for seemingly no reason at all. Even if you do not suspect that NAT Type is the cause of your issue, I recommend going through your NAT settings if you are very suddenly unable to play. You can read all about editing your NAT Type settings here.
Next, are other players in your area affected by a similar issue?
From time to time, clusters of users that live local to each other may encounter issues connecting to Destiny. This is often due to a common ISP that may be experiencing technical difficulties on their end. While there is not much that you can do to directly intervene in this instance, contacting your ISP and informing them of this problem may expedite the process of having it addressed.
Are you also setting Error Code Hawk?
As seen in the Error Code Caterpillar page, Caterpillar supplemented by Error Code Hawk is typically an indication that there is a firewall setting in your modem or router that may be interfering with your gaming experience. I recommend getting in contact with your ISP in this instance, as they can walk you through this process as well.
You can read more about Error Code Caterpillar here. Please give these steps a try, and let me know how things are looking!
