I am a year 1player with all DLC's yet Iam unable to purchase the taken king until I buy expansion pass.....Whassup?

Yeah I know it's really dumb that you have to buy the exp pass to even get the TTK

couple buddies had this problem, make sure you go into your add ons and have both dlc's downloaded, even though you we're previously able to play dlc 1 and 2 content you might not have them actually downloaded (i know it makes no sense), i didn't have dlc 2 actually downloaded yet played all content.
