The whole weapon handling thing is a fraking mess. What they should do is have a weapon selection button that brings up a Stick selection of 8 ready weapons. What we do now is switch weapons anyway, after taking FOREVER for our weapons inventory to load, then wait another forever for inventory to load so we can use an ammo consumable, all while hoping we don't die.

  • They would have a hard time doing this because of the restrictions that you can only have 1 Exotic weapon equipped at a time.

    Actually if they did this there would ony be one equiped weapon at a time so no interactios which is why the one exotic rule (i imagine) I get one exotic for armor so that they don't add up to something wicked and imbalanced - but there is no good reason for weapons (except the forced get better crap grind). even a few conditional presets to cycle between would be prefferable to what it is now. Of course ALL of this would be far less of a problem if the inventory would load intantly.

I might not be understanding your selecting wheel of 8 weapons as clearly as you are. What would stop me from having the following weapons in the wheel? Red Death Thorn Ice Breaker Gally -insert 4 random legendaries here- In the current state you can't have both Red Death and Ice Breaker readily available. Being able to switch with the click of a button would make it so you basically have multiple exotics equipped, even if you technically are removing red death first, then putting on ice breaker, Bungie has been pretty solid on one exotic per loadout.

  • Nothing, but none of them would be concurently equiped so the perks would not be active at the same time. My theory is that is the problem with more than one Exotic being equiped at the same time. I can totally see that having multiple concurently equiped exotics would imbalance armor but for weapons i don't see that it makes that much difference. If we HAD TO we could add an equiping delay if you where switching from one exotic weapon to another, or maybe make the weapon switch take longer depending on how many exotics where in you 'ready' 8.
