Nyx, the dark goddess

This is some crazy speculation, but it's fairly well supported. One of Xur's most famous quotes is, "your traveler has a dark mirror." I thought that this was very interesting, obviously the traveler is a parallel to the darkness, but the darkness is a nebulous thing, with no distinct embodiment. A mirror implies seeing an (altered) image of yourself. This is where Nyx comes in. Nyx is mentioned in context with the hive gods. You can ask Anon Pig about this if you want. Besides that, there is a blue ship called the fangs of Nyx. The discription is "beware her maw." Maw, now that's an interesting word. Where have we heard that before. If you've seen the new artifacts coming in TTK, you may remember an artifact mentioning a Kell of stone standing against a dark maw. In fact, many times, the darkness is referred to as a "maw." This leads me to believe that the traveler is not evil. In fact, the traveler, as also speculated by Anon, is female. It's the Alpha lupi. The alpha wolf. So after that, it gets me thinking. What if the fallen weren't contacted by the traveler? In a strike reward for the TTK, called the barons ambition, it says that the ambition is to crack open the depraved earth servitor and reclaim the great machine. I think the earth servitor is the traveler. And inside is the great machine. Inside the traveler, is the darkness. I'm probably wrong about half of this, but leave a comment below to tell me what you think of my theory. Edit: this is supposed to be in the post, but Nyx is the Greek mother goddess of darkness. Boom. Rekd
