Signed. Who do these adds even appeal to?
*ads* If i had to guess activisions marketing team had a hand in the advertisement. The ad shares too many similar traits that the live action call of duty ones have had (witty humor aspect, classic rock, etc). In regards to song choice, it's to get the attention of an older audience since that music is from that era. The avid gamers parents might tell them about the advertisement, or some gamers who are much older might be influenced to buy the product to some degree. I dont like how led zepplin has been used for the trailers, but in terms of marketing it supposedly helps the product appeal to a wider audience. I personally would rather have had a piece that promotes a more serious tone for the game.

 • While I am now well aware of the effectiveness of these ads thanks to the forums here, its not like this is the only way to advertise. Halo 3 sold a bajillion copies without schlock adverts. Nintendo games sell like hotcakes without terrible ads. It just seems... cheap. Like the game is pandering and being whored out.
