Was talking with another player and his suggestion was - with the amount of bugs / things not completing right / general weirdness that came in the wake of the update - it might be better to just wait until next week and start playing again. That is my plan; there's nothing to be gained anyway by doing activities now (except to say "yeah, I've tried that"). I'm cool with most of the update, but if important parts won't work until next week, then until next week I wait. (besides, I've played Destiny nearly every day for hours at a time; I could probably use a break :-\)
