I did both subclass for warlock and got my reward.... I can't equip it because it requires me to be Lvl 40 first.

You got some rewards.. not all of them, from what ive been told is we should also receive an emblem but we wont be able to now because we have completed it

Well unless the info you have is from someone at bungie I wouldn't really consider it valid. I could easily tell you the faction quest gives us a exotic sword and you'd believe it and next thing you know we have people shitting themselves because of a rumor.
