That would be awesome. There's some rumours that the traveller will be the final year boss for some reason but I'm sure it'll be great in the end.

I believe that Taox is inside the Traveller. That's why Oryx, The First Navigator, Lord of Shapes, Taken King pursued it across the universe, encountering innumerable species along the way and devouring them to feed the worm within him.

Traveler is The Darkness?

why do you think the darkness follows it and all the other alien races are trying to get at it? Dreg's have called us the darkness before too

Light casts shadows, shadows are dark. Darkness always follows light. Without light, there is no darkness but with too much light the darkness has nowhere to thrive. A paradox but it also allows us to see the darkness' true nature. To control the light so that the darkness can never fade. Also the fallen are simply butthurt that the traveler abandoned them when it saw that they couldn't fight the darkness, it probably would have left us if it wasn't damaged. Probably in the reef wars or when crota took the moon
