You didn't know the thorn is behind 9/11? I thought that was common knowledge... Seriously though, people who mix up their weapon choice and therefore occasionally use the thorn I have no problem with. However, you shouldn't deny that the thorn is a weapon that can turn a below average player into an average (or more) player. If I was one of those people, then I would strictly use the thorn in every scenario. It's a good gun hands down, coupled with the fact that it does improve a player is why so many rely on it and thus is why you see it everywhere in PvP. I've never cried for a thorn nerf nor will I, but I will say that I'm sick of seeing the same weapon day in and day out in the crucible, not to mention being sniped from across the map or bleeding out from a lucky head shot and a body shot. Kind of a mute point though since the rebalancing is coming up I suppose.
