I really don't think the problem is power creep. I mean is that something Bungie themselves has confirmed or is it just speculation? From a developer perspective, I just can't see that as being a major issue. I could easily resolve that problem with some simple creative thinking.

 • Most games are really poor at power creep, like STO which i play has a major issue with it, they let it get so out of hand that there was no going back and they just went full monty. Power creep is a real issue in any game that you are trying to make something better, creative thinking is ironically not game developers strong suit. They have a tendency to think in black and white, and Bungie is not exception, look at the way they have tried handling their balancing. They either do nothing or pick the nuclear option, this does not bode well for the future of the game, which is why i am debating on cancelling my TTK preorder, or just leaving after. I am pretty excited to try the new subclasses, but after that i may fade away for other games.

 •
creative thinking is ironically not game developers strong suit.
Aww, hey now, here I was tossing out all these great ideas for the strikes to ya, lol XD *Is a game dev as well* But yeah, I get what you mean. Its just real weird how some developers seem to struggle with the concept. I mean its been how many years, you'd think common sense would start to dictate a few things and they would learn from past efforts with other game series.

 • As an outside observer to THIS game you can see the flaws, its much like someone with a misbehaving child or eve pet, you avoid seeing the flaws, how could you have created and groomed something that could be flawed? Its the same with Devs and their game, they get tunnel vision on their goal and plan and they cannot see past that, especially when it comes to flaws.

 • Well I'd say part of their problem is Destiny's general identity crisis. The game can't seem to decide what it actually WANTS to be, its basically a weird mutant offspring of Halo, Dead Island and Borderlands after some freaky ritualistic orgy conducted by Activision.

 • Which is completely true. This game does not have an identity of its own, And it sorely needs one. The story was all wrong, there might as well only been one race, not 3, and one class not 3. There s no real reason that these things we have are here. We needed stories based on class, parts of those stories needed to be based on Subclass. But we never got what we needed, which was this game getting another year of production and a true direction.
