Destiny PVP

Here is my fairly constructive criticism, hopefully you need to take a long dump cause it's kind of a long read. Dear Bungie, Work to improve your -blam!-ing shithole of PVP. Now, I will try and calmly explain why. Starting with these topics Drops: there is no definite reward system for loot in the crucible. People who go .13 might get legendary gear while the other guy who went 1.3 or higher gets nothing, or something equally useless. It in no way feels rewarding for playing PVP. Why is there no real form of rewards that makes players feel like they truly benefit from it? Weapon mods/nerfs: you have been repeatedly going through this cycle of nerfs and buffs. Chill out, think logically. No two weapons are the same, I see how you want to level the playing field and gets more of the guns you designed used, but the way the guns are being modified are not in the best fashion. You just about ruined two entire catagories of weapons attempting to inprove others. Shotguns are used in real life to kill birds, and to have a lethal range of over 4 feet. Stop -blam!-ing up shotguns. Auto rifles? Thankfully you eventually realized that it was a bad idea but won't fix it right. You buffed some weapons too much then slashed others. Why are thorn and the last word some of the must used weapons in pvp? I didn't realize that a damn pistol could kill me from a half mile away with two shots. You listened to other people complaining, listen to this then. PVP is very unbalanced. Some weapons are superior to others, end of story. Stop screwing up the others cause some weapons are just not a good choice for certain situations. Matchmaking n stuff: why is there no form of punishment for rage quitting and the poor bastards are left to suffer. I have never had a game where the multiplayer enraged me like Destiny. I love just about everything about Destiny, the exception is being the pit of hate and suffering that is the multiplayer. Take notes from Call of Duty. The maps do not have good flow 80% of the time. Some parts of the maps don't even need to be used. Supers: supers do add an interesting twist to how the matches can go. I don't feel like some are way to overpowered. What I will say is that the shit just gets old. How about a game mode without supers? Try it out, some people may enjoy it. If this game is truly supposed to be continually improving then please listen to me. I also want to see the game improve, but why is it that one critical aspect of the game not something most can enjoy. I understand that some people are more skilled. I may go 3.4 on one game, and .7 on the next, so I'm not just whining about getting killed to much, the crucible is for people to shoot each other. Improve the weapons, improve the maps, breathe life into it and let it truly grow I hope some others can see what I'm trying to get at. I want one of you to sit down and read this and maybe take some into consideration. I like how some of the improvements are going in other aspects of the game but it feels like the current pvp is just a mess man. I hope to see all that y'all have to bring in the coming expansions and that it can kindle a deeper appreciation for this game

  • The only way to get guaranteed loot is to buy stuff with your Crucible marks. But there's no guaranteed way to get loot in other games (like CoD) either. You just buy the stuff you want, or get lucky.

    • And besides, the Taken King is fixing RNG to be much more generous and actually pays attention to what you have already and what you don't.

      • I've been saying for too long, that the only way PvP gets better is for them to go back to a Halo3 style PvP. Strip out ALL Exotics(armor and weapons). Nothing higher than Legendary, with no arc, solar, and void damage, only 4 or 5 damage upgrades. Same goes for armor. PvP only arsenal and armor. That will eliminate the relentless PvE nerfs that are PvP driven. Thereby eliminating all the variables that many bitch about on here.
