Depends on how they do it. Terraria has something called vanity slots, where you have two equip slots for a given piece of gear. One slot is for the look, the other is for the stats. Granted they solely do it for armor. A system like this has the same purpose of transmog, but achieves it differently as the piece of gear in question is not lost. I imagine from a programming standpoint that this is actually easier to do than Transmog, and can be added in post development far easier too.

  • Yeah, I play Terraria. Its a good game, for sure. Though even with how that is setup, you'd still be using a different weapon that just looks like your tried and true favorite. Personally, I'd rather not have to negotiate with Bungie on this, I mean I just fail to see the logic in NOT allowing Infusion to apply to all weapons and armor, not just the Year 2 stuff. I'd rather they focus on bringing new types of weapons to the game instead when it comes to new content, like those Swords that they are introducing. And that's actually really awesome that they're doing that too, cause then Destiny becomes open to the wide myriad of Melee Weapons out there and gives the devs a whole slew of potential to really go crazy with new concepts and ideas.
