I think what they should have done - especially when they knew they were going to have a huge addition of new users - was make it so you had to wait a while before you could create threads. People got way too post happy and didn't even observe what belonged where or proper etiquette when posting. (Believe it or not, people, this place used to have [i]some[/i] class.) On top of that, Bungie should have reeled the leash back in when they knew new users would be joining. People told them that the CoC was too loose and that people would take advantage of it. Sure, they gave us tools to "self moderate," but really it's just hiding the problem and not solving it.
