I'm really worried...
I need help BADLY with beating Skolas. I've never completed it before and it's the last thing I need to do to get my Yr 1 Moments of Triumph emblem. Every time I find two other people to beat Skolas, they have no idea what they are doing when we get to Skolas and we try for hours. I really need tips or something because It's getting close to TTK release. Halp.
Edit: I'm on PS4
Edit 2: I know the basic ideas of breaking the chains, passing the poison, and dismantling the mines, I just need a good team to do it. I'm gonna be on PS4 pretty soon so if anyone can help that would be aaaaawesome.

4 RepliesIt's tricky to beat him and there are several ways to do the basic strategy. Here's what my clan does. 1. Take out 90% of the smaller foes, they won't respawn 2, take out glowing servator (only one person needs to do this - the others just shoot anyone left over) 3. Shoot skolas with heavy or snipers. Repeat until chains are broken. The trick here is that you have the poison that you have to pass around. There really isn't a trick to it, just watch the timer and stay in order. Step 1 kill the smaller foes again. Usually they don't respawn unless you do damage to skolas. Step 2. When they are gone use synth if you need. And then use everything you have on skolas (we found the Ghorn does it pretty quick if all three members have it maxed. Black hammer is good too) Fail to kill him the first try means dismantling mines with foes. Rinse and repeat. If you do manage to kill him the first time, you can dismantle mines easily, but you still have to do them. That's the best strategy I know. It helps also to have at least two titans or warlocks who can generate a crap ton of orbs (Titans are best because the bubble gives you cover from splash damage). Also I found the ledge to the right is best, skolas won't appear next to you.

Too bad you're not on Xbox, it's a breeze, I've brought many through it, even helped 3 guys do it while I sat in the party and ordered them around as they told me what was going on, that was fun, haha.

1 ReplyI beat Skolas last week for the first time (just switched to PS4 recently) and then proceeded to beat him 2 more times. The fight isn't hard, it requires a lot of teamwork and precise timing. The most important thing is to go SLOW and make sure you kill 100% of the ads each time they spawn. Just need the right team and you'll get it done!

Have your team follow 1 simple rule: focus on adds. Clear them whenever they show up. Skolas is fat and slow, so just keep moving and you'll be fine.

skolas is a long drawn out fight. part 1) Fight 5 round to get to Skolas part 2) the first portion of this battle is straight forward. Kill the hidden servators, then beat up Skolas. If you don't kill the Servators then you can damage SKolas. part 3) At about 1/2 health or so, the servator bond is broken and you can freely hurt Skolas. Though now you will be "poisoned" you now are on a 30 second timer. At about 10 seconds and one person on your fire team "take" the poison from you. part 4) There will be two sets of three mines. Dismantle the mines and continue to beat the snot outta Skolas. Part 5) Now that skolas is defeated claim your reward
