As an agnostic, I see atheists being far worse in this regard. They're rude and insulting in almost every instance.

If the worst atheism brings is some rude internet people, well, just think how nice it would be if that was the worst thing religion brought the world.

While I agree with your point, it's really a matter of a general attitude that they have in regards to people that think differently than them. In my experience, it's fast worse than people of faith.

I think it's probably born of frustration at the fact that a lot of atheists can only speak out on the internet where they have the luxury of anonymity. Don't forget a lot of these people come from places where they are spurned for they lack of faith.
