Why do children not believe in God when they first gain conscious thought? I know I didn't believe in God and thought the idea was stupid from Christmas day, age 4. My mother and father were catholic along with my grandmother and I never believed the myth

We're all born with a sinful nature. Sin separates us from God. It's only through the working of the holy spirit that we truly believe.

I never said that. I said God made himself known through creation, but we suppress that by our sinful nature. You can see God in creation and not worship him. It's only through the holy spirit that we can trust in him.
