Evolution and God are different the bible doesn't talk about evolution from one species to another but talks about the creation of earth. Evolution is going from one species to another so if you wanted to argue about the ancestral state when evolution started according to science vs. the bible that's a fair argument but cannot use God to argue against evolution. It is smarter from a creationist point to argue starting points vs evolution because it has been proven scientifically.
