That's because you're going against the stupid ones. Those Atheists belong in the trash and they're only Atheist because they wanna be edgy or rebellious. They give us a bad name. It isn't that Atheists lack basic reading comprehension, its that several Atheists are stupid. Same with theists. However, both sides have their smart cookies. I could play the bible verse game. However, the bible was written by several different authors over an extremely long period of time, so contradictions will exist. I cannot answer if the Christian God is truly peace loving or a genocidal madman because the bible was written by man, which was supposed to be the word of God. If either side is going to throw verses at each other, then they're playing a stupid game. I could if I wanted to list some parts that tell you to kill non believers and all that, or I could tell you parts that said have love to your fellow man and accept him.
