EXO 15:3 The LORD is a man of war: the LORD is his name. ROM 15:33 Now the God of peace be with you all. Amen. God of war or peace? PSA 145:9 The LORD is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works. JER 13:14 And I will dash them one against another, even the fathers and the sons together, saith the LORD: I will not pity, nor spare, nor have mercy, but destroy them. Good to all or not? JOH 10:30 I and my Father are one. JOH 14:28 Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I. Lesser or equal to the father? ACT 2:30 Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne; MAT 1:18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost. Human or ghost impregnation? How can anyone form a logical argument against an illogical book written thousands of years ago by people that were not living at the time of the events. You cannot take it literally became it contradicts itself.

  • Both war and peace, depending upon what is needed at the current time. Good to all that love him and judges evil. Jesus is God, therefore equal to the Father, but he willingly gave up some of his power for his human incarnation. Jesus was conceived through the holy spirit. Whenever God the Father is described using human characteristics it is symbolic.

  • But those are interpretations of what is written. It is not what they say.

  • ISA 14:21 Prepare slaughter for his children for the iniquity of their fathers; that they do not rise, nor possess the land, nor fill the face of the world with cities. DEU 24:16 The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the fathers: every man shall be put to death for his own sin. For the sins of fathers or not? It's easy to argue when your source material supports both sides and is up for interpretation.

  • It's very much what they say. You need to read all of the bible. To make bold assertions based on two verses is asinine. Every answer I gave you is explicitly stated in the bible. I'll leave it to you to find them, I can assure you they are there.

  • So I have to interpret what is written though. It's not as its stated? Good technique to answer you have to go read it and find the counter argument for yourself because I don't have it, it is in there but if you don't find it you read it wrong.

  • Are you serious? I said it's explicitly stated, no interpretation needed. But you do have to actually read more than two verses.

  • I have read the bible I was born as a Christian and had religious schooling until university. You don't seem to be seeing the point I am making the bible is not clear like you said the flesh is symbolic. You cannot state that God is all good if he is only good to his believers, that's like saying i am good to all people that like me but I am not to people that don't like me, therefore, I am not all good.
