I'd love for world bosses, but Destiny doesn't seem to be built for something more than a public event. Edit: And they added world bosses. Woo!

  • What would the difference be? Just a bigger, badder public event lol

  • It would be restricted to a social bubble, which is fine, but could severely drop the frame rate on the older consoles.

  • Then they need to go the way of GTA V and not add certain things to last gen, you cannot constantly hold back the new generation so the old generation does not feel left out. Not only did we pay for this game, we paid for new consoles to play it on. We should not be punished because people did not want to get a new console/could not afford a new console. They should not be punished either, but they should not expect to get everything anymore, its year 2, its time Next gen starts pulling away.

  • They paid for a full game. They deserve a full game. I get leaving out minor UI elements, lowering the resolution, and not having all the same assets as the current generation, but restricting content for a game someone purchased and saying they can never get it because they don't have a different console is not okay to me. So far all Bungie's exclusive DLC has only been timed. I can live with that knowing I'll get it all someday. However, I wouldn't be okay if they sold less than what the current generation gets on the older generation. Everything GTA V added that was left out of the older consoles was UI/interface-based, first person, and possibly some cosmetics (even that is bad though). I would love to have more content in Destiny, but it wouldn't be right if that content wasn't available to people on the old generation. Buying a new console is not an excuse to get more content. That transaction was between you and Microsoft or Sony, not Bungie. Bungie has no obligation to "reimburse" you for you console purchase with more content. That all said, if you were just joking, I apologise for not picking up on that, but this is a point that some people need to hear. If you were serious, I do hope I've made a strong case as to why you shouldn't hold back games who purchased a game available at the same time on all main consoles (unlike GTA V) and expect the same content when they pay for it.

Here are my countersuggestions : 1) release the world boss event as separate dlc and don't sell it to the fossil consoles; or 2) go ahead and sell it to them but let them deal with bad frame rates.

Bungie already locks content behind a pay wall. What about all the ppl who bought vanilla Destiny but not the dlc. Often they are excluded from high level activities because the did not buy the add on content yet they paid for a full game didn't they? That being said your logic is flawed. You claim that it's not fair to add content to the game that may not be accessible on older hardware however I ask you this how is it fair to hold the current gen version of the game back because of older hardware. By doing so aren't all the people playing on current gen devices receiving an inferior version of the game at least compared to what it could be? Now consider this the current gen version of a game is often more expensive than their older version counterparts. You claim it's not fair to add in content that isn't accessible on the older hardware because they also paid for the full game but we paid more for the game and by extension shouldn't that entitle us to more. However by holding the game back because of older hardware the experience is essentially the same yet the current gen version of that experience is more expensive?

Proof that old gen holds this game back.

  • Honestly, it is basically the same thing. Just, bigger.I think if bungie tried really hard and put some honest thought into it, they could improve patrols and social aspects of this game, They knocked down the size of patrol areas so they would be more social, but didnt add any social aspects. Saying anything in this game is social is self defeating when they did nothing for the social aspect. Its just a shame that a lot of the community has so little faith left in bungie, that good ideas are seen as a waste of time because bungie will never do them, or just royally screw them up. Everyone sees what this game could be, and is horribly disappointed at what it is, i think thats what actually keeps people playing, knowing it could be great and the hope it will be soon.
