Not in the slightest. Are you saying my church ( which donates HUGE sums of money to LGBT holeles shelters) is not Christian and is dangerous?

And it's great that your church is socially progressive, but the problem with liberal religious people sadly, is that it's illogical to pick what to believe in the bible and what not to believe, because if the bible came from God or followers of God, then everything in it must in theory, be true so it's either all true or none of it's true. You see the dilemma at hand? I mean no disrespect towards you FYI.

My church takes things from the bible VERY metaphorically.

We understand that men made the bible and being men they are flawed and may have gotten some things wrong. Ever play the game telephone? It's kinda like that. So the bible is basically guidelines that you can more or less do what you want with in regards to following rules.
