We have proof that the big bang happened...
dumbest comment of the year award! holy ****! I'm not even going to explain why this comment deserves this recognition. muted.

How intellectually dishonest of you.
-
*Cough* cosmic microwave background radiation
-
because you dont know yourself?
-
there is in fact evidence in support for the Big Bang, like the fact that our universe is still expanding. Faith, by definition, is belief without evidence. So no, atheists who follow the Big Bang theory are not basing their knowledge of it on faith. As for the burden of proof, the Big Bang doesn't disprove anything. Theists make the positive claim that there is a god. I, as an atheist, reject your claim. Why is this concept to hard to understand? Anyways, I'd rather follow what scientific theories, which are always changing and developing based on new information, than what an ancient book written 5,000-2,000 years old proposes.

Yep, silence all opposition. Smart.
-
Proof or theory?
-
A scientific theory, meaning a theory backed up by facts, laws, ect.
-
Theory Is backed up by possible explanation A Law is observed and tested no matter what variables are put upon the theory

Seriously proof of Big Bang?
-
Cosmic microwave background radiation
-
-
Do you mean things like Cosmic Background Radiation and the fact that the universe is expanding?
-
That's not nessacarily from the Big Bang, it is plausible, but there could be other ways of that occurring
-
Such as?
-
I can't think of any examples but I am pretty sure there could be other explanations and theories, the Big Bang is a theory itself after all
-
I feel like people do not understand what a theory means. A theory in science is some thing that has been well researched and has proof to support it. Not to say that you don't know what a theory is.
-
No I'm asking where is your proof
