Atheists abandon all traces of logic when trying to formulate anti Christian arguments.

Atheists like to claim intellectual superiority, yet when attempting to make an argument against Christianity, they always fall short. While claiming to be the pinnacle of learned men, they lose all sense of logic, context, reading comprehension, and deductive reasoning when they erroneously create arguments in opposition to Christianity. If you want to reject God, so be it, but at least do it on the basis of what the bible actually teaches and not what you read on the internet. Read, study, understand. Leave your pride and arrogance at the door. Context is a thing and its wonderful. Edit: Let's keep this going, guys! And thank you to all the wonderful people who stopped by and proved my point.

    • Some atheists are like that. Likewise, a percentage of Christians ignore logic when trying to disprove atheism. This says nothing about the majority of neither group, and if you want to see the reasonable sides of them look somewhere that's not the Internet.

          • There is no definite proof that God is real, however there's no definite proof(or any proof for that matter) that God is fake. See, we as Christians have something called faith. We believe that God is real, and personally I truly think he is real based on experiences I've had.

            • most atheists I know became atheists through researching various sciences, religions, and listening to the opinions of experts in their fields. I've never heard anyone "claim intellectual superiority" for being an atheist, what you may be referring to here is the frustration that many atheists succumb to while debating against straw men, circular reasoning and skewed or miss interpreted facts. also I'm pretty sure that most people who don't believe in God don't believe in him/her/it because of what it says in the bible because of what they "read study and understand"

Albert Einstein was agnostic. Doesn't have to do with this, but I thought I'd share.

                    • If Christ were alive today, I think an argument can be made that he wouldn't be criticizing atheists for holding different views. The bible tells of instances where Christ visited with sinners, non believers, and those of other faiths. He didn't try and force feed them his teachings either. He simply lived his life the way he felt was best, and other people were drawn to him as a result of that.

Id rather be in a 5 hour long service then be in a room of atheist for more than 5 minutes.

                        • What do you call someone who's jus wavering between believer and non believer? I guess that's whatI am because I really don't believe in anything except for myself really. Other people's religions are interesting to say the least. I jus don't feel like I fit in any of them. I jus like living my life and doing my own thing. If I die and go to hell then so be it. Don't get me wrong, I don't pledge allegiance to no religion or idea, however I support other people's views as their own and I do not -blam!- with their beliefs. I don't think it's an atheist problem more as it is an ignorance problem. People don't like when other people don't think like they do. Pretty stupid if you ask me. I don't see religion when I look at people all I see is faces and personality.

                          •
Atheists abandon all traces of logic
Interesting, since atheism is all about logic rather than blindly following a book some guys wrote thousands of years ago. Seems to me whenever religious people are presented with logic that directly contradicts their faith, they hold their ground even after being proven wrong. Case and point: Ken Ham vs. Bill Nye. Ham was arguing that the Earth is only 6,000 years old, and Nye presented him with a ridiculous amount of evidence that the Earth is in fact 4.5 billion years old, while Ham's only counter argument was, "Well Bill, there's this book, and it tells you everything." When asked what would change their minds, Bill Nye said, "evidence." He's willing to change his mind if he's proven wrong. Ken Ham said, "nothing." And that is the stubbornness of religion. Unwillingness to change when science and logic stare you in the face and prove you wrong.

                            •
Leave your pride and arrogance at the door.
It is a little ironic that you target Atheists like this. An Atheist and a Deist can reach equivalent levels of arrogance by stating that God 100% exists or does not exist. Neither approach is valid since god's existence cannot be fully proven or disproven. A theist on the other hand takes it even further by not only asserting God's existence but that they also have special insight into that God's will.

And no I'm not an atheist but the fact that your trying to argue intellect while believing in a book some guy wrote years ago that literally has no proof in it that anything in it exists or happened is a complete load of shit.

                                • Why would someone who doesnt believe base their agrument on a book they dont believe. While i agree that the internet is shoddy at best, the bible is all about god and many other aspects of our human nature.. personally i dig it, i read it everday. However, someone who doesnt believe isnt going to view the bible as a credible source for determining belief. The best thing we can do is show them the truth instead of attempting to cram our opinions down their throats.

                                  • Well I suppose it depends on what you mean by God. If you mean "God" the Judeo-Christian God then no I dont believe. This was something that may have been twisted and changed to suit man and their needs. I personally have absolutely no evidence this has happened, I just dont trust the majority if mankind (for good reason) PLEASE NOTE IM NOT HATING ON ANY FORM OF RELIGION THIS JUST A VIEWPOINT IM ATTEMPTING TO EXPRESS But I do believe theres something. I dont know what it is, but I believe its there. But you are right. I have no evidence that God exists or doesn't exist, and I dont think anyone truly can. If there is a God, then I believe God would present us with a clear sign if thats what God wanted. I dont think it would be a Jesus shaped Cheeto ya know what Im saying? With that said there are truly some things that could be called maricles. Life surely is one of them.

                                    • Religion is created by man. In the past people created gods or deities to explain what they could not. The Greeks couldn't explain storms or volcanoes or how the seasons changed so they attributed these occurrences as abilities to gods. In other words they created gods to fill their void in knowledge. As time moves forward man as a whole learned more and more, so slowly polytheism was no longer needed as there was less of a void to fill. Thus monotheism spread to replace polytheism. Now we come to the present. People are afraid of a void in knowledge, so they create or join a religion because they need something to believe in to stop their fear from consuming them. Since humans first live we have died, death is one of humanities greatest fears as it is unknown what happens. This is why almost every religion has some sort of explanation such as, Elisium, Valhalla, and Heaven. More and more people are leaving religion, due to a high understanding, and as for death, more and more people simply except it as part of life. Thus, religion is no longer needed to fill the void.
