Signed. This also applies to armour. As was shown in the Twitch Reveal, Light Beyond Nemesis and Obsidian Mind have new Perks. I think it is great that there are going to be new perks to choose between on the updated exotics. Being able to choose a perk on an armour piece, from a selection, is a great idea. However, the original perks should be available for selection as well. On LBN we saw: (a) a choice between: Increased super energy from killing minions of the darkness (Inverse Shadow), or More super energy from heavy weapon kills (Heavy lifting), and (b) Reduce melee codlin when you pick up an orb (Invigorate). This is replacing Increased melee attack speed (Snap Discharge, for Warlock) and regenerate health when picking up and orb (Transfusion?). Given that LBN is most useful in 3v3 PvP, the later (original) perks are much more useful. It would of course be nice to choose one of the new (a) perks if wearing the helm in PvE, say over Snap Discharge. Transfusion, on the other hand is always more useful than Invigorate. Invigorate being one of the most useless perks in the game. That said, if someone prefers Invigorate over Transfusion (or maybe it is buffed), they should have that option. Similarly with Obsidian Mind. Increased grenade throw distance (Energy Projection (?)), is FAR more useful to me than Invigorate. I don't want to loose that perk and have it replaced by something less useful. Make the choice available to allow for greater customisation on how players build their armour. I do not appreciate being forced (i.e.: not being able to choose between several perks, I realise I am not forced to wear a piece of armour) to use a particular perk on my favourite (warlock) helm, Obsidian Mind, for example, when the previous version of that helm had a better perk. It is a bit of a kick in the teeth: Here's your favourite helm, we've decided to bring it forward for Year 2, only ... we've decided to make it worse than its Year 1 variant! (Or maybe just remove Invigorate from the game, since it is a particularly pathetic perk ... but maybe that's just me!!!)
