Actually, if you read something besides the weekly updates (I'd recommend the gameinformer interviews) they're doing a lot with the story. -The taken to me make a lot more sense lore wise (if you've read the grimoire, all these enemies have been in our solar system for decades) than it would for some new enemy to come out of nowhere. The taken our enemies Oryx has taken from our solar system, thrown into another dimension and thrown back in under his control. -everything from the PvP maps to the strike bosses have lore behind them in TTK. Dark blade led a civil war against oryx and he was imprisoned in total darkness because of it. -Even your ghost will read off bits of info if you walk up to something and scan it. Overall, TTK is shaping up to have more story than you believe. Hell, it seems like it'll have more story than of vanilla game. As far as the pricing goes, 40$ for this when compared to previous DLCs and even DLCs of other games, it's more than worth the price.

  • Most people got fed up of the ghost talking to them instead of putting more effort into doing stuff, the city knew about oryx, just not the taken, and how come oryx doesn't have any taken from other solar systems? It doesn't really make sense. Oryx came form some other solar system, so how come he only has taken that exist untaken in our solar system. By the way when I said unfair pricing, I meant for the other countries who have to pay more when you convert the price into dollars, like GB

  • Still, it strikes me as a bit fishy that they turned everything into a mission. Most people don't care about what's in the content, just how much content there is. They would preference having something that takes weeks to finish and have less talking in game, then have lots of in game content while the dlc only takes 4 hours to finish

  • Fishy? It's just adding more story in the game. What's fishy about it? If you'd have watched the stream, bungie shows off the new quest system. That's their main way of telling the new story. They're also going back and wrapping up old things like the Vault of Glass. As far as story goes, there's no doubt in my mind TTK will have it.

  • I don't watch streams, because the I don't have twitch, and when I watched the Poe stream on YouTube the next day, I was surprised how a so called team of " pros" ( and of corse deep) didn't manage the 34 Poe, when as soon as it came out, people managed it in half the time it took bungie to give up.

  • So you haven't even attempted to look at any of the new TTK content besides what bungie themselves have revealed, as long as it wasn't on twitch. You literally haven't seen 10% of the total content in TTK. Go watch planet destiny, Datto, any of them. They explain everything that we know of coming in TTK. If you've only listen to bungie you haven't heard 1/10 of what's been told.

  • And that's what annoys me. Bungee should have revealed more then all these sites, as they made this game.

  • No it's not, but that's what the gameinformer guys that went said bungie did. http://youtu.be/MpNY-jl_oVc skip to about 5:40 and they start talking about it.

  • So what if they reveal things elsewhere? That's how must games are revealed. They let 3 people from gameinformer go to bungie and play all the TTK story and pvp maps and strikes. That just shows to me how confident bungie is in their new expansion. Most Devs would make a demo or only show them the best parts. Bungie showed them everything, and that speaks of their confidence.

  • I just thought it was odd that they turn everything into missions. If you only look at bungee.net you might get the idea that they didn't have enough content so they made everything into missions so that players would stay on it for longer

  • I don't understand what you mean by that. They're turning everything into a mission to keep players busy? There's only suppose to be 8 "lengthy" story missions that'll lead up to the new strikes and quest lines and ending with the raid. I don't know how you expect them to tell story in the game without using more story missions. That logic doesn't make sense.

  • You need to do this mission to get this weapon, you need to do this mission for the new subclass, if you look at the weekly update, and I'm sure it's elsewhere as well, you'll see you need to do missions to get exotic weapons.
