Sorry, but the fact that you are defending a person who's sole purpose was ruin the others fun, pretty much contradicts your entire argument.

I don't see how it ruined his fun if he still successfully beat it with him and another player...
-
And you aren't even using your real account, idiot.
-
With more trouble than it needed to be, it isn't fun when you have to do double that work, because someone else doesn't care to help, and btw it's work when trying to have fun, will actually cause you to loose, specially when there are no checkpoints.

This debate was done the moment you called me an idiot. Guess we can't have a mature debate about this. Once again, you compared gaming to "work". I'll teach you what work really is the moment you stop getting offended by someone else's opinion and calling them names like a 10 year old.

If I may interject. It's not so much the "work" involved that gets to people I think. It's the idea that someone did not contribute to that victory, who didn't pull their fair share in the fight and is being rewarded for it. It's the principle that someone is getting rewarded for contributing nothing. So, yes, the OP did complete the arena, the experience was more difficult than it had to be simply because the 3rd member was selfish and didn't pull their own weight to earn the rewards that the others fought to attain. Let's just take this into context here. You have a 6 v 6 game of basketball, the prize? The losing team buys the winners rounds at the bar. The problem is, one guy on your team doesn't really put any effort into the game, and is essentially just getting in the way as your team is playing to win. You're playing for fun, but you are also playing to win. Such it is with competitive games, you barely win, and now this guy is cheering on and is free to join in on the spoils of your success. Not cool right? Not good enough? Okay, let's give a throw back to school. Your teacher has assigned you and several other people to a group assignment. Each member is supposed to do a specific portion of an experiment and depending on the quality of the work, the entire group will then be graded. Jimmy Jones however is practically non existant during this process, and leaves the work up to the rest of you and the group to pick up the slack. Is it fair that he should get an A on the project when he didn't contribute to it? The same principle applies to what the OP posted about. So while you may not see this as work, and I respect that view, not everyone will agree. I personally don't agree with you either, as I would have kicked this player as well, if it were so painfully apparent that he was just there in hopes of getting free loot and not helping to fight the hordes of AI driven baddies off in order to get to that chest at the bottom of that shaft. Feel free to disagree with me, and I will respectfully agree to disagree with you as well :P

Well, in reality, if you have a basketball team and one guy is doing nothing except getting in the way, most likely the team is either going to chew him out or kick him off the team right then and there. I have never heard of a team just letting one of their teammates sit around the whole game and then discipline him after. I've actually had that situation in school with one of our group members not pitching in. Did he still get a decent grade because we did all the work for him? Sure. It happens all the time. If anything, it's a good lesson to teach about life not being fair. I've actually had teachers TELL me that. I appreciate the mature and descriptive response and not resorting to kindergarten insults. However, the simple solution would have been to kick the guy the moment they realized he wasn't going to pitch in. It doesn't even look like they tried talking to the guy or asking him why he was just standing around. The fact that he took it upon himself to struggle through while the guy just stood around only boot him at the treasure room makes him just as low as the leecher himself. It's all good if we disagree. That's why it's a debate. I actually value your input if you can do it in a mature and informative way.

Fair enough, not saying I wouldn't have kicked him as soon as I saw him being useless (after of course trying to communicate) I will give you that a lot of the headache could have been avoided if the OP had attempted triage or cut the cancer out sooner.
-
Bumped for actually knowing shit.
-
Have to agree. OP is Daft (don't want to write idiot:)
-
I'm actually a highly intelligent human being. I'm not standing up for the guy doing nothing. I'm simply saying that they could have booted him earlier. You can't deny that him waiting until the treasure room to boot him wasn't trolling. You see, people nowdays say eye for an eye. This is why the world is screwed up.

Some people are just too stubborn in their views sometimes. What you wrote was well thought out and articulate. Keep it up
