I didn't grind to get anything so I'm perfectly fine with their approach. I just played the game for fun and getting decent drops was a bonus.
I also like using different weapons and armour.
I'll keep my favourite year one weapons and dust them off for patrols and year one content

Agreed. On top of that, I just got Gjallarhorn from Xûr last week. I'm happy to have maxxed it out and had some fun with it, but I'm excited to see the weapons that will come with TTK. I'm just glad to have the grimoire and blueprint unlocks.
