If you plan on playing destiny for even half of its 10 year plan, wouldn't you get tired of using the same weapon for 5-10 years? I understand that it was hard to get, but there will be other things that you want to grind for. Mixing up your load out makes the game feel a little more new and if we had all our weapons from year one it would take away from the experience ya know?

  • That is a decision that should have been left up to me. Instead of creating MY legend, I'm creating a legend that's now out of my control.

  • Yh true but imagine in ten years you could have say 300 exotics to choose from. Where as the way they are going you will still have about 30 but they won't be the same why not add more and more content imagine choosing between hundreds of exotics and guns everyone would look better and year 1 players would stand out

  • I think down the line it could be possible to upgrade year one weapons. Towards the end there will be almost no reason for them not to bring back old weapons. But during the next few years of playtime I like the idea of always trying to find something new, it will keep me playing - and my fireteam will keep giving me crap every time I don't get it too. But I love that and it will all be possible each time they cycle weapons and armor.
