You are right. A lot of companies dont tell consumers they will listen to them either then do the exact opposite. That is Bungie's mistake.
Btw, its because people LIKE destiny that they complain. Its when no one says anything at all about a game is when you need to worry.

Here they complain bot because they like but bc they think they have the power to do so and have their concerns enforced.

My point is, if Bungie never said "we're listening", then people would not have a reasonable expectation that complaining was a good idea. Sure other companies put out games that are final, no change shelf warmers, but the longer haul multiplayer type games require people to keep playing. It doesnt pay the bills if people dont get the next dlc etc. So Bungie opened up to discussion, their choice.
