WE NEED TO PUT OUR FEET DOWN! NO MORE BS BUNGIE!
For nearly a year bungie has used us to form their game, but at the same time they used us to make a fast buck with some of us spending 100+ dollars to play a beta. I myself brought the console and the expansion pass which at the time was 630 something US Dollars. This is disgusting and we need to put our feet down and tell Bungie that we are more than sheep! We will not pay 40+ dollars for your new "game" (TTK.) Nor will we continue "testing" for you! We will not support you in any shape or form until you admit that all of year one was a cheap grab at our cash.

Edit: Some Agree and some disagree. It's a shame how so many people can't see the money pit this game is.
Edit: I hope most of you know I'm talking about Destiny right? Just Destiny. Not any other game.

To me, i have more than gotten my money's worth out of this game, and even more so, i have enjoyed playing it more than any game in a long, long, time. I can understand why people would feel differently, such as yourself. Maybe its just too much money and the satisfaction you get isn't what i get. Whatever, that's fine. Let people enjoy it if they want. If they think its worth it to them, they aren't sheep. I don't think people who buy expensive cars are sheep. I would never buy one, because i don't think any car over 40,000 dollars is worth it, but if they like it, who cares? Seriousl, there are way to many people on these forums that cannot fathom the fact that everyone has differing opinions. Can we not all just respect each other and understand the differences?

Honestly, if you support the game as someone who wants it to continue to develop it and keep it going for more than a year, you shouldn't care how much it costs. Destiny is already lasting longer than most games do and the content is starting to amount to more. So stop your whining and buy it if you want it or otherwise take that stick out of your butt and suck it up.

2 RepliesYou do realize that bungie don't have the final say right? ACTIVISION is the publisher, they are the ones that funded the project, they are the ones with the control over what happens in it. Bungie always gets the blame but no-one noticed that ACTIVISION is the one pulling the strings, if there is somthing they don't like or want in the game then they just click their fingers and it's gone or changed.

Bungie and Activision are businesses, not your friends. They have a simple survival model - they develop and sell games, respectively, and interested people buy them. Considering that some people bought the original collector's edition, there was a beef to be had that people were vested beyond the point of his/her interest. But that time has past, and the business model should be obvious to everyone. It isn't unique to Activision, either. Standard business to consumer relationship. Ranting won't change that, ever. Feel free to put your feet down, but the way that you will likely find the most satisfying result from that is to put them down in alternating and repetitive motions, as you simply walk away.

3 RepliesI have over 600 hours in this game. That's roughly 16p per hour of entertainment. If I went to see a film that would be £10 plus probably another £5-7 in snacks for 2 hours. If I went to a football match to watch my team (Liverpool) I'd pay upwards of £40 a ticket for 90 minutes of entertainment (or misery if our defence stays this bad). Even if I sat and watched TV instead of playing destiny I would still have to pay a licence fee (£140) a year plus my Sky subscription (£30+ a month). So when people say that Destiny and its DLCs don't represent "value" I tend to point them in the direction of these facts to show not only is destiny good value, it's considerably better value than any other form of main stream entertainment.

I know. I'm kinda invested now though. I'll prob get the next 2 DLCs but I won't be getting D2 until the reviews are out.

Your history on the forums reads like someone obsessed, signing to ban Thorn and Gally, more sheep crap, and so on. If you hate it, move on. "Vote" with your money and get out. It's really that simple. Accept that some folks enjoy this game even if you don't. There a lot of things I don't like, and I avoid them. I don't feel the need to stand on a soap box in a place I know I won't be received well and bitch til I'm blue in the face. Waste of time and energy I could use doing something I enjoy.
