THE NO EXOTIC LEFT BEHIND PROGRAM
From the beginning of the Destiny Universe (Launch) we as guardians have been grinding for an entire year. We grinded for Vex Mythoclast. We grinded for Necrocasm and still are. We grinded the boring pile of shit we know as Prison of Elders. We grind these repetitive activities know as Strikes and Nightfalls and Raids. (Well raids aren't that repetitive) For all these exotics. From Weapons to Armor. Us as a consumer, no, a community have put in more than over 1000 hours into this game.
We became addicted and most of all desperate, to obtain our favorite weapons. And not only that but we grinded hours of crucible and Vanguard strikes to level up those favorite weapons after it took us months to get them.
Now that we have The Taken King arriving in 3-4 weeks, it has been announced that 60-70% of all our exotics will not be "redesigned" for the upcoming DLC.
Weapons like the Hard Light and Necrocasm will not compete against the new Exotics. With this information our community has been set a blaze. Angered, and felt betrayed even after being so loyal. Many say we should stop crying and deal with it. Some say other wise. Well I say... No! We should scream at Bungie, make them hear our voices. This is not what the consumer wants. We as a community. We understand that our developer wants us to play a certain way. But when it comes to our money on what we paid for. This is back stab. Everyone in the community should go against this outright abomination of a company at this point in life, and make them bring back for what we paid for. We earned these exotics, majority of them we got from Engrams, nightfalls and Raid. They done a lot to us to make us happy. But we cannot simply ignore the things that make us upset.

[b]Edit 2:[/b] Also remember we never got to experience the power of the Auto Rifles during the House of Wolves. They were nerfed to the ground and almost unsuble. Most of the Dark Below Auto Rifles as well.

In the video, the guy said only certain year 1 exotics would be upgradeable "Right Now". The rest of them will come. I am bored of using the same weapons. Let me use some new ones and then bring back the old ones in mid year DLCs. With the auto rifle buff and new SUROS perks we will all have that equipped anyway. Haven't used it since February, so that will be fresh. They are nerfing IB and Gjallarhorn anyway, so I won't be using them for that purpose as well.

4 Replies*Wonders why bungie are brining forth the no backup plans into year two* Does anyone even use these price of trash? Like seriously? I got them, fully leveled them and threw them in my vault and haven't touched them since... Why bring those forward, and I bet they brought the mk. 44 stand asides also...

It is inevitable. Exotics have to be left behind in order to progress the game forward. If not we may be using the almighty ballerhorn when we are killing the final boss of the darkness. Do you still ride your first bike that you ever had? Do you still wear clothes from when you were one? This progression is not a bad thing. We killed countless bosses with our ballerhorn a. We wrecked havoc in the crucible with our thorns and last words (some people might even remember the almighty suros). But it is time to move forward, and start our new journey with the exotics that we will earn in TTK. It wouldn't be the same experience if you earned the new [b]REDACTED[/b] from killing [b]REDACTED[/b] but you still had the same old ballerhorn in your back pocket. You wouldn't be as excited because you already had the best the game has to offer. However I do enjoy the fact that we will be able to take a few year one exotics to year 2. That was a smart move in my opinion. And from what I have seen they have picked a wide variety of exotics to keep with us and play around with for another year. It is no doubt that when the next major installment for destiny comes out, we will be hesitant to leave behind a few old friends we find in TTK, but for now we have to say goodbye to our good friends that won't be moving forward with us (a least for the endgame such as Trials of Osiris, Iron Banana, The Kings Fall raid, ect).

It would be nice to level them al up for lvl 40 enemies and use them a side the new dlc weapons . My opinion give people a choice for witch weapon they use from the large weapon weel year one and year two included. Dont' dich year one weapons cause theyre great and you put a lot of work in them finding them and upgrade them . you've named people vips soon , then treat them that way . I Have said .

What's the point in weapons like Gjallahorn getting nerfed in 2.0 if it's just getting left behind? Why does Bungie insist on limiting the player experience just because they're proud of the new content they're introducing. You don't have to make old stuff totally redundant just so we can appreciate the new stuff!!! This is infuriating. I thought exotics would be the only thing in this game (aside from our guardians themselves) to survive the test of time. Obviously I was wrong :(

When I think of businesses that smugly believe they know better than their customers, I tend to think of Blackberry rather than Apple. Instead of having giant iphones on the walls of the Tower year 2, as was recently revealed, I think it would be more appropriate to install Blackberries to reflect the sort of decision path Bungie follows. Oh yeah, just for sh**s and giggles, click an unresponsive link on bungie.net more than once (I tried to "like" a comment and clicked a few times when it didn't register). You will be treated to a mega douchey, condescending, pop up message lecturing that "patience is a virtue." Yup, Blackberry, not Apple.
