THE NO EXOTIC LEFT BEHIND PROGRAM
From the beginning of the Destiny Universe (Launch) we as guardians have been grinding for an entire year. We grinded for Vex Mythoclast. We grinded for Necrocasm and still are. We grinded the boring pile of shit we know as Prison of Elders. We grind these repetitive activities know as Strikes and Nightfalls and Raids. (Well raids aren't that repetitive) For all these exotics. From Weapons to Armor. Us as a consumer, no, a community have put in more than over 1000 hours into this game.
We became addicted and most of all desperate, to obtain our favorite weapons. And not only that but we grinded hours of crucible and Vanguard strikes to level up those favorite weapons after it took us months to get them.
Now that we have The Taken King arriving in 3-4 weeks, it has been announced that 60-70% of all our exotics will not be "redesigned" for the upcoming DLC.
Weapons like the Hard Light and Necrocasm will not compete against the new Exotics. With this information our community has been set a blaze. Angered, and felt betrayed even after being so loyal. Many say we should stop crying and deal with it. Some say other wise. Well I say... No! We should scream at Bungie, make them hear our voices. This is not what the consumer wants. We as a community. We understand that our developer wants us to play a certain way. But when it comes to our money on what we paid for. This is back stab. Everyone in the community should go against this outright abomination of a company at this point in life, and make them bring back for what we paid for. We earned these exotics, majority of them we got from Engrams, nightfalls and Raid. They done a lot to us to make us happy. But we cannot simply ignore the things that make us upset.

[b]Edit 2:[/b] Also remember we never got to experience the power of the Auto Rifles during the House of Wolves. They were nerfed to the ground and almost unsuble. Most of the Dark Below Auto Rifles as well.

Signing. All they're gonna do is limit content to the taken king only and leave behind everything else, included exotics. Bungie will surely bring them in the next expansions just to say "we've heard you, you wanted the old exotics, well, here they are!! (included with each purchase of the next expansion pass) "

I love Destiny, have played since release, and am overjoyed to see the grand majority of this year's exotics being thrown out the window, even considering that I have spent literally days of my life searching for them. As much as I would love my MIDA Multitool to accompany me in slaying Oryx, I am overjoyed that no-one will be using a Thorn (as ironic as it might be, considering the weapon's backstory) either. And think of all the new, exciting exotics we will soon be [u][b]grinding ceaselessly [/b][/u]to obtain! Even the degradation of an old friend of mine, the Gjallarhorn, is a good thing because it opens the way for Bungie to make new weapons. Imagine an Iron Banner not filled with exotic handcannons but with other weapons of more varied form. Bungie is burying the past with TTK and, as much as I respect you for commemorating it, I join them in both their exaltation and mourning; after all, aren't funerals as much a celebration of life as a commiseration of death? (And besides, if you want to keep using your old tools forever, just play standard PvP, everything is levelled, or just do old Raids if you're a PvE kind of guy. Just PLEASE do not drag us who wish to move on down with your coffin!)

That video was... something else. It was really inspiring. So, I've prepared something to say. Exotics aren't just regular weapons that we dream of getting. Exotics are those weapons we use our time, our money, into getting. We spend countless hours grinding for one weapon that can get us, both inside and outside. It takes time, money, effort into getting exotics. They are the rarest weapons in the game, one of the most outstanding features of Destiny. I understand that Bungie wants us to try new things, new gear, new styles of play, but when it comes to OUR time, OUR money, we must stand up and let them understand what we want. This game is about us, the community. It wouldn't be what it is today without us, our posts, our feedback, opinions, whining, praising. I fully support the No Exotic Left Behind Program. I Necrobump this post, sign it, NECROSIGN it! Let our voices be heard! Fight for our exotics!

This doesn't make sense either because years from now, when more dlcs are out, are they really.just going to keep trashing all these unique, exotic weapons? Why get rid of something when it still works? We spent tons of time grinding through their repetitive endgame content, so why can't we at least enjoy what we earned (stfu rngesus argumentors.)?

6 RepliesHere is a reply... you shallow small minded pratt. As if there aren't going to be better weapons. Necrochasm is staying, holding on to the past is detrimental to the game. As we move forward our attention will be drawn from our losses to the future. You can infuse all guns with higher powered ones st the start of ttk. All games are designed to make you want to achieve... boo hoo to old thinking short sighted muppets who want to stay back and use their favourite toys. With these mentality nothing would be done.... What if people said historically, consoles suck because i have an outdated pc? Thats right, no consoles.. enjoy the fun you had with the guns you earned. Relive the vog ir crota with ya gally etc.... its a new world kids and exciting things are gonna happen.... deal with it or quit. Quite simple really. The fact ypu have 500 replies means there are 500 more morons like you who live in the past.

4 RepliesPerhaps BUNGiE could resolve this flare-up by explaining what they are their attempting to achieve in Destiny Y2.. Diving under the hood this what I get: By limiting crowd favourite Exotics & Raid weapons etc, they want us to chase/grind the new equipment. This [u][b]will drive a change in playstyle[/b][/u] (esp with the new sub-classes). So yeah, get this, but why do we need to change our playstyle e.g. who the hell uses No BackUp Plans? Is this change down to a desire to [b][u]level the playing field for newbies[/u][/b] i.e. potential for huge disadvantage if Y1 Guardians could use all their gear v Y2 new kids on the block? Get the feeling that BUNGiE may ‘release’ more Y1 Exotics by simply inc their power, or, creating Blueprints for existing weapons. Like in 3-4 months..?
